We are delighted to congratulate Joy Ramsey on reaching 10 years service with Thomond this month.

Joy came to Thomond having previously worked in the Insurance industry for 7 years. During that time, Joy found her place in Commercial as an Underwriter and continues to progress along that career path today.

On reflecting on the last 10 years with Thomond, Joy says she enjoys the culture within the company, the interaction and relationships with colleagues and brokers; “you never go through a day without a laugh, even on the most stressful of days”.

Joy also commented that the job has enabled her to achieve and do things that she didn’t think she was capable of, notably the Croagh Patrick climb last year amongst other Thomond endeavours over the years.

Listing the flexible working approach and support with studying and career development as other areas of enjoyment in her job; it is worth noting Joy has been diligently pursuing her ACII qualification during her tenure and hopes to cross that finish line later this year. Along the way, Joy was awarded the William Dawson Wynne trophy for coming 1st in Northern Ireland for her Chartered Insurance Diploma qualification.
